About The Position

Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach undergraduate nutrition courses aligned with departmental needs, which may include courses such as Food, Nutrition & Health; Nutrition Across the Life Span; Community and Global Nutrition and Food Science. This is a full-time, non-tenure-track, on-campus position that requires regular campus presence and active engagement with students and colleagues. The appointment is expected to begin in August 2026. Requirements

  • For the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in nutrition or a closely related field by the start date of the appointment.
  • For the rank of Instructor: Master’s degree in nutrition or a closely related field by the start date of the appointment.

Nice To Haves

  • Consideration may be given to candidates with credentialing as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration
  • experience teaching undergraduate nutrition courses at the college or university level
  • experience delivering courses in face-to-face and/or hybrid formats
  • evidence of effective, student-centered teaching
