About The Position

Visiting Assistant Professor or Instructor to teach multiple sections of BUS 101: Foundations of Business. Appointment begins August 2025. Multiple positions may be available. BUS 101: Foundations of Business, the course is part of the required First-Year Integrated Core (FYIC) curriculum for all Farmer School of Business majors. The FYIC is a four-course block that teaches students critical skills such as critical, creative, computational, and ethical thinking as well as coding, communication, and collaboration. As a FYIC teacher, you will be a part of a faculty who work together as a team to integrate these key skills across all four FYIC classes (BUS 101: Foundations of Business; BUS 102: Foundations of Business Communication; ESP 103: Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurial Thinking; and BUS 104: Introduction to Computational Thinking for Business).

Requirements

  • Ph.D. for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor in business, communication, or closely related field by date of appointment.
  • Master’s degree for appointment as Instructor in business, communication, or closely related field by date of appointment.
  • Teaching or work experience related to general business.

Responsibilities

  • Teach multiple sections of BUS 101: Foundations of Business.
  • Integrate critical skills such as critical, creative, computational, and ethical thinking, as well as coding, communication, and collaboration into the curriculum.
