The Women’s and Gender Studies Department/Program at Hamilton College invites applications for the Elihu Root Peace Fund Post-doctoral Fellowship. This is a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor in Women’s and Gender Studies, beginning July 1, 2026. We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate their experience and interest in teaching or working with broadly diverse student populations while contributing to a vibrant learning community that values academic freedom, creativity, and intellectual curiosity. The Women's and Gender Studies Department has three faculty members with broad teaching and research interests and a strong commitment to innovative undergraduate pedagogy and accessible scholarship. Hamilton College is a residential liberal arts college located in central New York. The College has built its reputation on the teaching excellence and leading scholarship of its faculty, and on the academic distinction and intellectual curiosity of its approximately 2000 students who take advantage of Hamilton’s open curriculum.
