About The Position

The Department of Pathobiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University is seeking applications for the position of visiting assistant clinical professor of veterinary clinical pathology. This faculty position will be a 12-month, clinical-track position with a 1-year limited term. The Clinical Pathology Laboratory is located within the Wilford & Kate Bailey Small Animal Teaching Hospital, facilitating open communication with clinicians and veterinary students. Diagnostic samples are submitted for evaluation from both the large and small animal teaching hospitals, outside veterinarians, the Raptor Center and a variety of researchers. Collaborating diagnostic services within the Department of Pathobiology include anatomic pathology, parasitology, microbiology, virology/serology, and molecular diagnostics.

Requirements

D.V.M. (or equivalent) at the time employment begins.
Successful completion of a residency training program in clinical pathology recognized by the ACVP.
ACVP Diplomate status in Veterinary Clinical Pathology (Dipl. ACVP – Clinical Pathology).
A terminal degree at the time of employment.
Candidates must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States at the time of appointment and continue working legally for the term of employment.
