Visit Nurse (RN/ RPN) - Brant

This job posting is for an existing vacancy. We have 2 part-time positions that requires commitment of 3 weekdays per week plus a 1 in 3 weekend rotation (every 3rd weekend).
Requirements
- Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario in good standing
- Clear Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Screen completed within the past 12 months
- Access to a reliable and insured vehicle
- A valid driver’s license and ability/willingness to travel within Caledonia/Serlkirk and surrounding areas
- Professional Liability Insurance
- 2 Step TB Test completed within the past 12 months (or willing to obtain)
- CPR Level C/BLS
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work 3-5 days per week plus every third weekend, as well as participate in an after-hours on call rotation
Nice To Haves
- Ability to communicate in French or other languages is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Make a difference in the lives of people within their homes, clinics and other community locations.
- Apply clinical skills in areas such as wound care, IV therapy, tube feeding and medication administration, palliative care, paediatric care as well as health teaching.
- Utilize a person and family centered approach to care to guide decision making and facilitate collaborative care with each member of the interdisciplinary team.
- Receive mentorship and support from managers and peers for ongoing development and clinical excellence.
- Support the larger health system through home health care, and demonstrate confidence in navigating clients and families to other resources to help them meet their goals.
