This position is responsible for driving sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and in-stock and inventory levels. The role involves budgeting and forecasting sales, and assessing economic trends and community needs. The Vision Center Manager oversees the implementation of and participates in community outreach programs and encourages Associates to serve as good members of the community. They ensure compliance with Company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations for the Vision Center by analyzing reports, implementing asset protection and safety controls, overseeing reviews, developing action plans, and directing Associates in ensuring confidentiality. The role also involves supervising and developing Associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, providing recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset. Additionally, the manager ensures the provision of quality eyewear by consulting with and educating Members/Customers, selecting products, obtaining measurements, verifying prescriptions, performing minor frame repair, and maintaining Optical equipment. They uphold the Company's Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions. The role also involves coordinating and completing job-related activities by developing relationships with stakeholders, supporting initiatives, identifying goals, building accountability, and demonstrating adaptability. The manager is expected to attract and retain talent, empower and develop talent, and recognize others' contributions. They must act with integrity, maintain high standards of ethics and compliance, and model Walmart values. The role requires serving customers by delivering results, putting the customer first, and adapting to how, where, and when customers shop.
