About The Position

Amplify is seeking Virtual Tutors to support students in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. This role involves delivering engaging and rigorous lessons using the Amplify Curriculum, focusing primarily on literacy. Tutors will work remotely, providing one-on-one or small group instruction. The position offers compensation for tutoring sessions, lesson preparation, and professional development. Tutors will be employed as W2 contracted employees through a third-party staffing agency. Amplify is committed to supporting its tutors through ongoing professional training and coaching, fostering a collaborative online community.

Requirements

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent English speaker.
• Comfortable and highly skilled with technology.
• Available a minimum of 90 minutes a day, 3 days a week (M-F) at consistent times during the school day between 8am-4pm ET.
• Access to a personal laptop or computer with a webcam and microphone (Chromebooks, iPads/tablets, and smart phones cannot be used).
• Enjoys working with Kindergarten-Eighth Grade students.
• Interested in teaching lessons using Amplify Curriculum.
• Willing to accept and implement ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Interested in participating in professional development and learning opportunities.
• Physically residing within the 50 states of the United States.
• Meet U.S. employment eligibility requirements.
• Have a private, quiet location free from distractions to work from.
• Commit to the assigned tutoring group for the entire duration of approximately 15 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tutoring lessons using Amplify Curriculum.
• Plan and prepare tutoring sessions.
• Participate in professional development and learning opportunities.
• Implement ongoing coaching and feedback.
• Connect with students and help them meet their reading goals.
• Potentially obtain additional endorsements in math tutoring (grades 3-5), literacy tutoring (grades 6-8), administering literacy assessments, and other special projects.
