About The Position

We are currently seeking experienced and motivated candidates for the role of Propulsion Dynamics & NVH Analysis Engineer to support the Global Battery & Propulsion Engineering division. In this role you will be responsible for creating 1D Amesim mechanical modeling analysis to support ICE, PHEV & BEV propulsion systems. 1D Amesim models are used to drive designs and eliminate hardware testing. Simulations are focused on various propulsion components such as electric drive units, engine and transmission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 5+ years of engineering experience with 1D Amesim simulations
  • Extensive knowledge in Structural Dynamics as it as it pertains to NVH
  • Understanding of ICE, PHEV and BEV vehicle system and integration
  • Ability to occasionally work non-standard hours to collaborate with our overseas analysis support team
  • Familiarity with a variety of other CAE tools (such as HyperMesh, Optistruct, ANSA, AMEsim, ADAMS/or any MBD Tools], Actran, Abaqus, Python and/or Matlab etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Noise & Vibration
  • Hands-on experience applying Amesim to analyze propulsion system behavior and performance
  • Strong programming capability in MATLAB and/or Python to enable efficient data analysis and model development
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in AI/ML applications—leveraging data-driven methods, automation, or intelligent tools to enhance modeling, improve predictive accuracy, and drive engineering efficiency
  • Experience in Controls/Calibrations and Hands-On Testing [Vehicle and/or Lab]
  • Proficient on numerical analyses [resolve numerical stiffness and singularity problems]
  • Experience in Drive Quality development [Low frequency vibration and vehicle response]
  • Thorough understanding of signal processing
  • Fluency in Co-simulation using function mock up unit (FMU)

Responsibilities

  • Drive high-impact analytical modeling—build, debug, and execute advanced models, translating insights into clear, actionable direction that influences engineering decisions
  • Engage across the organization—actively participate in development team discussions and collaborate with a broad network of engineers to shape outcomes and drive alignment
  • Partner with the N&V community to deliver propulsion system load cases and Amesim plant models that directly enable program success
  • Lead the shift toward virtualization by advancing analysis capabilities that reduce reliance on physical testing and accelerate decision-making
  • Champion continuous improvement by developing and enhancing standard work, ensuring best practices are scalable, efficient, and easy to adopt
  • Make an impact across the full lifecycle—support programs from concept through production, optimizing CAE models to deliver maximum value to customers
  • Push capability boundaries by contributing to next-generation propulsion N&V tools, methods, and approaches
  • Relentlessly pursue efficiency gains—identify and drive cost, size, and performance improvements with a results-oriented mindset
  • Lead and inspire—provide technical direction, mentorship, and energy that elevates team performance and enables high-quality, efficient execution
