About The Position

Amerisure is seeking a Virtual Premium Auditor to join their team. This role can be remote in most US locations, with a preference for candidates near specific local offices. The primary function is to conduct audits from an office setting to gather accounting, financial, and operational data for processing final audits and ensuring accurate audited premiums, while adhering to all relevant rules and regulations. The role involves managing less complex accounts independently, with potential for leadership involvement in more intricate situations. Key responsibilities include assessing and reconciling discrepancies, corresponding with internal departments, agents, and policyholders, and fostering strong customer relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2 years premium audit experience strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of P&C business, and products offered preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills required, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated successful ability to build positive relationships and partnerships within department, across the organization and with external customers.
  • Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management.
  • Ability to proactively manage virtual interactions, to establish communications norms, and to build social rapport with colleagues from a remote environment.
  • This level incumbent is responsible for less complex to moderately complex accounts where judgment and technical expertise are required with assistance from department leadership to navigate the most complex situations.
  • Ability to resolve conflict over sensitive or complex issues with minimal assistance.
  • Ability to work from an Amerisure office or home location.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with policyholders and/or their agents to obtain required exposure information contained within payroll, sales, subcontract cost and other relevant records.
  • Verify and assign rate classifications and their conformance to premium basis.
  • Perform operations reviews to identify changes in operations or unusual exposures that may impact the premium.
  • Develop final audited exposure figures using established company procedures and within time guidelines.
  • Prepare detailed audit worksheets, reports and summaries.
  • Collaborate and coordinate activities to continuously build relationships with Amerisure’s agencies and their clients by providing expertise, support and consultative services that drive business results for the agency and Amerisure.
  • Attend court hearings, as needed, including testifying regarding audit findings.
  • Make judgement calls that create solutions generating the best outcomes, with assistance from manager.
