About The Position

The Virtual Health Advanced Practice Provider provides telehealth visits for our School Telehealth Program and/or Virtual On Demand.

Requirements

• Bachelors Required for Physician Assistant or Masters Required for Nurse Practitioner
• Physician Assistant National Examination Certified for Physician Assistant or NP Licensed in State of Tennessee
• 1 year pediatric experience required
• Active listener, critical thinking skills and ability to reflect a professional and caring persona for patients and families.
• Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills for confident interactions with community partners.
• Strong computer skills pertinent to use of laptops and tablets.
• Excellent problem-solving skills are required as is the ability to multi-task and to work both independently and within a team

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Apple products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for providing non-emergent acute medical care at one or more designated facility(s) through telemedicine or other virtual health delivery technologies.
• Providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
• Complete medical assessments including history and physical exam.
• Formulate diagnosis based on data collected and within scope of practice.
• Order appropriate diagnostic studies and execute such diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as the physician may assign.
• Provides plan of treatment based of diagnosis
• Writes medication orders.
• Assists with the provision of in-service education.
• Initiate appropriate referral and consultation.
