Royal Electric Company is seeking Interns for their Dallas Office location, starting Summer 2027. This opportunity will involve working with the Virtual Construction team, providing hands-on learning experiences to support professional growth. The intern will apply their education by assisting the Virtual Construction team with various tasks. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a college program with a focus in Architecture, Heavy Civil, Electrical or Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Artificial Intelligence, or Computer Science
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite
  • Familiarity with Coding skills & techniques
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with senior-level teams
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Technical and analytical proficiency
  • Creative problem-solving mindset
  • Capable of working independently and within a team environment
  • Proven ability to manage projects from initiation to completion
  • Familiarity with electrical field concepts, aiding in real-world visualization
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Must wear proper PPE while on jobsites.
  • Must comply with all safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Design room unit layouts for installation using digital drawing tools.
  • Collaborate closely with VC Modeler 2 to ensure design accuracy and coordination.
  • Create stub rack spools for prefabrication by building precise 3D models and breaking them down into spool sheets.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to Revit for BIM modeling and design workflows.
  • Participate in coordination meetings by shadowing VC Modeler 2s to understand cross-collaboration.
  • Contribute to modeling projects as assigned, involving ceiling lights, wall panels, transformers, and other electrical components.
