Reporting to the Manager of Urgent Care Services - Mental Health & Addictions, the Urgent Care Clinician provides advanced assessment, intervention, brief follow up and care planning for crisis/urgent care clients across the lifespan, with the goal of stabilization and connection to necessary Mental & Addictions services as required. The majority of consults are from the Emergency Department but may also come from other services or departments both internal and external to Nova Scotia Health. This position will be providing virtual (via phone/zoom) liaison mental health crisis support to western zone emergency/urgent care departments. This is a work from home opportunity and applicants can reside in any location throughout Nova Scotia.
