About The Position

Quality Roots, a leading name in Michigan's recreational cannabis market, is seeking a Virtual Budtender Representative. This role is crucial for reconnecting with lapsed customers, understanding their reasons for leaving, and demonstrating the value Quality Roots offers. Unlike traditional call center jobs, this position emphasizes customer service and relationship building, using a proprietary outreach system and CRM to engage customers with personalized offers based on their purchase history. The focus is on genuine conversations and re-establishing connections rather than high-pressure sales tactics.

Requirements

  • Experience in cannabis retail, customer service, or outbound calling.
  • Comfortable on the phone and able to handle rejection professionally.
  • Strong listening skills.
  • Reliable and self-directed, capable of working independently through a structured queue and meeting daily targets.
  • Detail-oriented in logging calls and maintaining the queue.
  • Prior experience in retail sales, hospitality, or customer service.
  • Cannabis knowledge.
  • Confidence in using POS systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

  • Experience in more than one of the following: cannabis retail, customer service, or outbound calling.

Responsibilities

  • Run a structured daily call queue within the company's custom CRM.
  • Contact lapsed customers to understand their reasons for leaving.
  • Re-engage customers by highlighting the value and offerings of Quality Roots.
  • Serve as a customer service touchpoint in every call.
  • Offer personalized promotions when appropriate, with the primary goal of strengthening customer relationships.
  • Log every call and track outcomes.
  • Maintain visibility into personal performance through a live scoreboard.
  • Participate in paid training on the proprietary CRM system and call program.
