About The Position

As a Virtual Auto Estimator on our NEST team, you will be responsible for writing initial vehicle damage estimates. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with body shops and customers by reviewing vehicle damage photos and producing high‑quality initial estimates in a fast‑paced, high‑production environment. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in technical estimating skills, a solid understanding of repair procedures, and the confidence to negotiate effectively with repair facilities. Experience in CCC and Microsoft applications is essential. Candidates located in Central Time Zone are highly desirable, and prior experience in the auto insurance industry is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Possesses strong estimating fundamentals in order to create or audit estimates of damages on 1st and 3rd party material damage losses of all severities
Possesses a deep understanding of the content of all policy types written by the company
Negotiates settlements, makes settlement payments and documents all activities in the most complex of files across multiple lines
Evaluates settlement alternatives by reviewing regulatory compliance and fair claims practices; makes decisions on best option
Builds mastered relationships with both internal and external customers across multiple lines
