About The Position

The University of South Florida (USF) and the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine (MCOM) are launching an open-rank call for tenured/tenured-track high level scientists in the field of Virology. Essential functions of this position include carrying out research on viruses and viral diseases at the Institute for Translational Virology and Innovation (ITVI) Directed by Dr. Robert C Gallo, publishing, obtaining high-level grants, including NIH grants, and serving as a Principal investigator, head of a research group, contributing to the recruitment of faculty, and mentoring USF scientists and MDs. Develop philanthropic relationships, contribute to defining strategic plans, scientific and recruitment priorities.

Requirements

Tenured/tenured-track high level scientists in the field of Virology
Ability to obtain high-level grants, including NIH grants
Ability to serve as a Principal Investigator
Ability to serve as head of a research group
Ability to contribute to the recruitment of faculty
Ability to mentor USF scientists and MDs
Ability to develop philanthropic relationships
Ability to contribute to defining strategic plans, scientific and recruitment priorities

Responsibilities
