About The Position

Coury Hospitality has an amazing opportunity as a Temporary VIP Host at the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. This role is central to creating an elevated and personalized experience for VIP guests during high-energy events like Halloween and New Year's Eve. The VIP Host will be responsible for welcoming guests, anticipating their needs, managing special requests, and ensuring every detail is handled with style and professionalism. This position requires a charismatic, confident individual who excels in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and can make guests feel genuinely welcomed.

Requirements

Previous experience in hospitality, VIP hosting, nightlife, restaurants, hotels, events, or customer service preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain professional and composed in a high-energy environment.
Ability to handle confidential or sensitive guest information with discretion.
Must maintain a polished appearance and meet professional dress requirements.
Must be available for scheduled Halloween and New Year's Eve events.
Ability to stand and walk throughout an extended shift.
Ability to move throughout guest areas, event spaces, and the property as needed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to crowds, music, and elevated noise levels.

Responsibilities

Create an elevated and personalized experience for VIP guests during Halloween and New Year's Eve.
Deliver exceptional hospitality and anticipate guest needs.
Ensure every interaction reflects the energy and service standards of Hard Rock Hotel San Diego.
Welcome VIP guests with a warm, confident, and personalized approach.
Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned VIP guests throughout the event.
Proactively assist with guest requests, questions, and special accommodations.
Build genuine connections with guests while maintaining a polished and professional presence.
Coordinate VIP arrivals, seating, table assignments, amenities, and special requests.
Maintain regular communication with Managers, Servers, Bartenders, Security, and other departments to ensure seamless VIP service.
Monitor VIP areas and ensure guests receive attentive, timely, and personalized service.
Respond to guest concerns with professionalism, urgency, and a solutions-first mindset.
Communicate important guest information and special requests accurately to the appropriate team members.
Maintain awareness of event schedules, entertainment, restaurant operations, and VIP programming.
Help create an energetic but controlled environment where guests can celebrate while receiving elevated service.
Protect guest privacy and handle sensitive guest information with discretion.
Assist with special events, promotional activities, and other VIP experiences as directed by management.
Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor throughout every shift.
