About The Position

Lawrenceville-Suwanee School of Music (LSSM) is seeking a passionate and dedicated violin instructor to take over an established studio of active string students, with immediate teaching opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who wants to step into an existing student base, build meaningful relationships with students and families, and grow within a supportive, professional music community.

Requirements

• Strong violin performance skills and classical technique
• Teaching experience preferred
• Ability to teach beginner through advanced students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Music degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
• Passion for teaching and helping students grow

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized violin instruction to students of various ages and skill levels
• Develop engaging lessons based on each student's goals and abilities
• Teach proper technique, musicianship, and music theory fundamentals
• Track student progress and communicate with parents as appropriate
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and performances
• Create a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment
• Collaborate with faculty and staff for ensembles, recitals, and school events
