This role is responsible for creating content that makes impactful connections with consumers, measured by high attention metrics (views, likes, comments, etc.). The Views Editor will serve as an algorithm-fluent editor with deep expertise in hooks, pacing, structure, and retention across social platforms. This individual will be the primary owner of DJ-ing, remixing, and optimizing content to drive scalable performance. They will be principally accountable for performance tuning and platform success, turning good content into scalable content through continuous optimization and creative iteration. The role involves editing and assembling raw footage into polished final videos, ensuring assets are optimized natively for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube, with a performance-creative mindset, not post-production only. The Views Editor will stay up to date with platform algorithms, emerging formats, creator trends, and editing techniques to keep content fresh, relevant, and competitive in feeds. They will bring ideas to the table and participate in ideation, recognizing that the core value of the role is making the work work through execution, testing, and optimization. Collaboration with teammates and cross-functional departments on rapid fire requests and tight timelines is essential. The role also includes attending creative brainstorms, kickoffs, and team meetings, contributing meaningful ideas and helping shape performance-driven strategy. Additionally, the Views Editor will mentor Creators, and in some cases Art Directors and Copywriters, on their team and across the agency, helping to guide and educate on best practices, ideation, execution, and performance optimization under the leadership of their A/CD.
