About The Position
Language Trainers is an international language training company seeking a freelance Vietnamese Teacher for a client in Ottawa, Canada. The company provides customized language training to professionals and private students for various purposes. This specific role involves one-to-one business language training for an elementary-level student. The student is a 56-64 year old individual managing a Canadian project implemented in Vietnam. Their motivation for learning Vietnamese is to communicate more comfortably with colleagues in Vietnam, both professionally and in interpersonal conversations, and to understand Vietnamese partners in meetings.
Requirements
- Native Vietnamese speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 30 km of the specified location (K1S 0N5, Ottawa).
- Ability to meet the specified schedule requirements or offer flexibility.
- Submit CV with references, availability, and earliest possible start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one Vietnamese language training to an elementary-level student.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the student's business and interpersonal communication goals.
- Schedule and conduct two-hour sessions once per week.
