About The Position

The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) is a unique international program sponsored by the French Ministries of Europe and Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion. This program allows Airbus to offer young professionals valuable paid work experience abroad in a technical or business function. The VIE is a specific contract, subject to Business France’s eligibility criteria. This particular VIE position for a Field Service Business Operations & Digital Transformation Assistant is located within Airbus Commercial Aircraft / Airbus North America in Herndon. The successful candidate will join the Field Service North America Team. Field Service Teams serve as the primary interface with customers for Customer Services subjects, aiming to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and safe operation. They are responsible for building trust and successful partnerships with customers by being the frontline contact at the station, promoting and protecting the Airbus image. These teams are the first point of contact for customers experiencing technical issues, assisting airlines with AOG (Aircraft On Ground) and incident inquiries, and playing a crucial role in resolving problems before they escalate. The VIE Field Service Business Operations & Digital Transformation Assistant will also support the Field Service Director in regional management and digitalization efforts.

Requirements

Bachelor or Master degree in the aeronautics field

Intermediate/advanced level of English.
Ability to travel for business within the USA.
European Union citizens (plus Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Monaco)
Graduates up to and including 28 years old (a V.I.E. mission can begin no later than the day of the twenty-ninth birthday)
Have fulfilled military obligations for their country, if any
Must be registered on the Mon Volontariat International website before the age of 28
For working in the US with a J-1 visa, must meet the conditions of the sponsor selected by Airbus for this mission, the French-American Chamber of Commerce (FACC).

Responsibilities

Working within the HUBWAS Field Service Team, to support the Customers technically and continue to build the relation with our customers.
Supporting the Field Service Director to continue the digitalization of the region by leading projects to Create performance Dashboard and index trackers (SalesForce, Skywise).
Support Customer Service regional organization, Customer Support, Fleet performance and efficiency.
