About The Position

The U.S. Army Command and General Staff College is seeking a skilled Videographer to bring its mission, people, and milestones to life on screen. This role plans, shoots, and edits video content supporting the Command and General Staff College's command goals, special events, and public affairs mission. The videographer will produce everything from short-form vertical pieces to long-form features and livestreams, working closely with the college's Public Affairs Office and command group. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in videography/video production
  • Proficiency with professional video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects)
  • Portfolio demonstrating experience planning, filming, and producing video content for institutional, corporate, or media use
  • Ability to produce livestream content and manage live-event video support
  • Ability to pass background checks and maintain a favorable Tier 1 (T1) suitability determination
  • Strong time-management skills to meet concept, review, and delivery deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience supporting military, government, or other public affairs/communications organizations
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense visual information standards or Army Public Affairs guidance
  • Familiarity with AP style guide writing

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and post-produce video shoots supporting CGSC command goals, objectives, and special events
  • Produce approximately 5 video products per month, ranging from 30-second vertical pieces to longer-form (5-minute) content
  • Support and operate livestreaming of command events as directed
  • Develop a concept and proposed timeline for each video, submit for approval, and deliver the finished product per the agreed timeline
  • Edit and finalize video files using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Store, organize, and archive video files for customer use and future reference
  • Deliver and share livestreamed or event-driven video products within 24 hours of event completion
  • Provide video imagery/content for use in briefings and other information products as needed
  • Coordinate with the CGSC Public Affairs Office and command staff to ensure content accuracy and appropriate messaging
  • Support occasional events outside normal work hours (approximately six times per year)
  • Assist with related media tasks (photography, information graphics, printed products) as needed to support the broader Public Affairs team
  • Contribute input to monthly status reports regarding video task progress and deliverables
