About The Position

Turn5 is a rapidly growing e-commerce retailer specializing in automotive aftermarket products for a wide range of vehicles, from classic cars to modern trucks and muscle cars. We are dedicated to creating exceptional customer experiences through unique products, services, and educational content, including thousands of videos for DIY enthusiasts. Our purpose extends beyond sales to inspiring gearheads globally. The Videographer, under the direction of the Video Floor Manager, will be responsible for shooting product installation guides and promotional "beauty" videos for our websites and YouTube channels. This role involves working closely with in-house mechanics and hosts to capture detailed product installations, ranging from performance upgrades to aesthetic modifications. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, consistent, and possess a strong understanding of video production elements including exposure, lighting, color balance, audio, and focus.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in a professional video environment.
• Excellent lighting techniques, including floor and grid lighting for set and talent, product lighting (on set and tabletop), and outdoor lighting with natural and set lights.
• Experience and understanding of Sony FS5, FS7, and DSLR cameras are a must.
• Experience with 4k capable cameras.
• Must have experience shooting on tripod and handheld.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to deliver quality video in a fast-paced environment.
• Must provide a link to a reel of work upon applying.

Nice To Haves

• Experience shooting with jib, dolly, and steady-cam rig.

Responsibilities

• Shooting high-quality step-by-step product installs and product "beauty" shots using tripod, handheld, jib, or steady-cam.
• Directing video shoots and assisting talent with proper diction and on-camera presence.
• Collaborating with the install team to light and style/prop products for both on-car and off-car shoots.
• Maintaining proper audio during shoots, including lavalier microphones for hosts and boom/on-board microphones.
• Opening and efficiently re-packaging products for shoots.
• Assisting talent with proper diction and on-camera presence.
• Assisting other Videographers during shoots.
• Maintaining a clean working video set.
