About The Position

TUSHY is looking for a highly creative and versatile Videographer & Content Editor (Contract-to-Hire) to help bring our brand to life across social, paid media, web, and campaign content. This role is for someone who can do more than just edit—you understand storytelling, pacing, lighting, composition, and how to make scrappy productions feel premium. This role will begin contract with the opportunity to go from temp to perm. You’ll work closely with our internal creative and marketing teams to concept, shoot, edit, and deliver high-performing content that feels culturally relevant, visually elevated, and unmistakably TUSHY. We’re especially looking for someone experienced shooting in small or unconventional spaces (yes, bathrooms), with a strong eye for set design, motion, and lighting. This position is currently hybrid, with the expectation to be present at least 3 days a week in our Dumbo, Brooklyn (NY) office.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience editing and producing video content for consumer brands, agencies, or creators.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing video editing, motion graphics, and creative storytelling.
  • Experience filming and editing direct-response ads and performance creative, with an understanding of how to make content that converts across paid social platforms.
  • Experience shooting in small spaces or constrained environments with confidence and creativity.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
  • Strong understanding of lighting techniques for both lifestyle and product-focused shoots.
  • Experience with set design, prop styling, or art direction for content shoots.
  • Ability to work quickly and independently while balancing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Understanding of color grading.
  • Strong sense of pacing, humor, internet culture, and what makes content perform socially.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Edit engaging short-form and long-form video content for paid ads, organic social, product launches, campaigns, and web.
  • Shoot content in tight or unconventional environments while maintaining strong composition, lighting, and production quality.
  • Bring concepts to life through motion graphics, animation, typography, and dynamic transitions.
  • Collaborate with the creative team on campaign ideation, shot planning, storyboarding, and execution.
  • Design and style simple but elevated sets and environments that align with TUSHY’s visual identity.
  • Light scenes creatively and efficiently—whether working with natural light, practicals, or small-scale lighting setups.
  • Create content optimized for platform performance across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Meta, and beyond.
  • Maintain consistency with TUSHY’s tone, visual language, and brand standards across all deliverables.
  • Help source props, references, locations, and production inspiration as needed.
  • Manage post-production workflows including editing, sound design, color correction, exports, and versioning.
  • Stay plugged into social trends, editing styles, creators, and internet culture to keep our content fresh and relevant.
  • Work collaboratively with copywriters, designers, producers, and marketing.
