About The Position

The Video Production Specialist position is an opportunity to contribute to the creation of content for WUCF's most popular local program, Florida Road Trip. Working with the program Executive Producer, this position will help shape the look and feel of the program through a videographer's eye for composition and lighting in the field, as well as a producer's attention to research, detail, and curiosity. WUCF is Central Florida's trusted source for educational programming, arts, culture, and local storytelling. Recognized as one of Central Florida's Top Workplaces by the Orlando Sentinel for two consecutive years, WUCF fosters a collaborative and mission-driven environment where employees have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the communities they serve. Successful candidates will be expected to travel as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
• Position requires a valid Class E driver’s license.
• All applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position, and the university cannot accommodate H‑1B transfers or employment-based visa processing for individuals currently sponsored by another employer.

Nice To Haves

• Production experience in an internship or professional setting, including recording and editing.
• Field videography experience.
• Experience with research and writing for film or television production.
• Familiarity with Adobe software systems.
• Experience in creating engaging digital content for various platforms.
• Experience conducting or assisting with research at the college level.

Responsibilities

• Support camera operation and lighting for field production.
• Research and pitch story ideas that align with content strategies and goals.
• Write and edit copy under deadline.
• Edit for multi-platform content for broadcast and digital.
• Support other production team duties as necessary.
