About The Position
Austin PBS is seeking a Video Production Intern to support the creation, execution, and production of video material for station marketing, development, corporate support, and membership efforts. This role will work closely with the Marketing Video Producer to assist with all departmental video needs. The internship offers hands-on experience in a dynamic public media environment.
Requirements
- Student must be available to commit to a minimum of 8 weeks for this internship.
- Internship will be in-person/hybrid - In-person Tuesday and Thursday.
- 15-20 hour a week commitment.
- Knowledge of Avid and/or Premiere, Photoshop and After Effects.
- Display creativity and initiative with the ability to respond quickly to last-minute needs and changing priorities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- A team player and people person that is organized, creative, logical, perceptive and decisive.

- A portfolio (website, link, or PDF) is encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Support the creation, execution, and production of Austin PBS video material.
- Assist with promotional material creation, show promo creation, and video/photo editing.
- Support the production of on-air promotions for brand awareness and revenue generation.
- Manage editing and production of monthly video needs, including co-branding spots and show sizzle reels.
- Assist the Marketing Video Producer on shoots with planning, camera operations, lighting, and staging.
- Produce campaign promo spots for on-air and online use.
- Cut and edit videos for internal and external use.
- Participate in marketing and content planning meetings.
Benefits
- Pay Rate: $20/hr.
