About The Position

Instructional Services is seeking students who are interested in producing video of live sporting events. The production will cover home sporting events including: football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball and track. The video produced will be available for purchase via the MIAA Network website (http://themiaanetwork.com/) and appear on the video board at the event. Requirements

  • Interest in audio/video, multimedia, and streaming technologies.
  • Familiar with the rules for football, soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball and track.
  • Ability to learn, apply and retain new technologies and techniques.
  • Demonstrates written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Practices time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in video and/or multimedia production.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment during the production (crew members will operate a camera, replay system, audio board, character generator, or video switcher).
  • Participate in training sessions for all available positions.
  • May be called upon to act as a lead worker.
  • Setup and teardown equipment before and after productions (including: cameras, replay system, audio mixer, video switcher and/or other equipment required for the production).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
