Requirements

• 4+ years of professional video production experience (in-house, agency, or freelance).
• A strong portfolio showcasing video work, including an interview/customer story, a short-form social cut, and a personal project.
• Ability to direct individuals who have no prior on-camera experience, such as nervous warehouse managers or engineers who use jargon.
• Demonstrated ability to generate original video ideas and articulate opinions on effective video strategies.
• Full-stack production skills, including on-location camera and lighting, audio capture in challenging environments, and proficiency in editing software (Premiere or Resolve).
• Strong storytelling instinct, with the ability to identify key moments in interviews and capture authentic dialogue.
• Comfort working on location in active industrial environments like warehouses or job sites, minimizing disruption.
• Versatility to produce both polished films and vertical clips shot on mobile devices.
• Proficiency in using AI tools for production tasks such as transcription, rough cuts, generative b-roll, and voice generation, with a clear understanding of their benefits and drawbacks.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% for customer shoots and events.
• Availability to work in the New York office 5 days a week, with shoot days counting as in-office time.

Responsibilities

• Own video production at InstaLILY, including content creation, visual style, and shipping cadence.
• Prioritize and create customer stories by filming on location at job sites, branches, and distribution centers.
• Produce short-form content featuring founders and leaders for platforms like LinkedIn, X, and YouTube.
• Cover events such as summits, hackathons, and partner sessions, transforming footage into lasting content.
• Create product videos that explain working AI agents to buyers in a concise manner, using screen capture, motion graphics, and clear narrative.
• Generate and propose video ideas based on observations of effective B2B and consumer video content.
• Manage the entire production process from pre-production, camera, lighting, audio, editing, color, sound, to delivery.
• Direct freelancers when additional support is needed for shoots.
• Establish the visual and auditory standard for InstaLILY video content.
• Organize and tag footage for efficient retrieval.
• Maintain a consistent shipping cadence for video content, prioritizing regularity over perfection.
