Radio-Canada is looking for a Video Operator/Editor for our Ottawa-Gatineau station for the CBC Parliamentary Bureau. The selected candidate will perform the duties of a production specialist, contributing creativity to programming by innovating to produce distinctive visual effects within the scope and time constraints of the show. The role requires strong photography skills, significant content contribution, and bilingualism (English-French). Work is generally carried out according to CBC/Radio-Canada or industry-accepted standards, but there is some flexibility for independent judgment, decision-making, and initiative within established procedures. Tasks are performed under the direction of the program manager or other employees, but the candidate must be able to work without immediate supervision. Work is usually carried out within the established formats of the program, often under high-pressure conditions. In a supporting role for programming, you will understand client needs, design, and implement creative solutions. You anticipate technological trends and help position us as pioneers in broadcasting, ensuring we deliver programming to our audience conveniently. This role requires full-time on-site presence.
