About The Position

The Information Technology Unit (ITU) provides technology planning and support to the Department to help ensure the successful accomplishment of the Department’s mission. This position will provide support to statewide Video Network Operations supporting the agency's efforts of public safety and inmate-facing telecommunication. This position will supply support and management of systems required for all DOC sites to provide these services, including connections to governmental agencies, private sector programs, and telehealth initiatives. This position is required to maintain availability after an employee’s regularly scheduled hours to be on-call to respond to outages, urgent, critical, or unit-specific issues as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent organization and planning skills.
  • Corrections experience.
  • Understanding of the utilization of technology in the business processes of the Department.
  • Effective communication both in oral and written forms.
  • High functional computer skills.
  • Working knowledge and experience with video infrastructure.
  • Working knowledge and experience with use of video scheduling software or similar system.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
  • Use of Leankit, Sharepoint, Asset Panda, PowerBi for documentation and reporting.
  • Experience with codec (H323/SIP) video conferencing, ZOOMGov, Webex.

  • Considerable experience with video conferencing equipment.
