As a Video Monitor Tech at MercyOne, you will provide video monitoring services that seek to create a safe and secure environment. Adheres to MercyOne performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with MercyOne mission, vision and values.

Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Mandatory Reporter Training
  • Ability to write complete and accurate department reports.
  • Able to deal effectively with stressful/emergent situation and time constraints.
  • Demonstrate a cooperative, courteous, dependable working environment with multiple priorities.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills – listening, verbally and written.
  • Commitment to a high standard of customer service
  • Plan and organize work to complete in a timely, detailed and orderly manner
  • Establish and collaborate to maintain effective working relationships
  • Creative and positive problem-solving skills
  • Requires the ability to read, write and understand the English language, and communicate effectively with patients, visitors, staff and physicians while performing their job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Observe patients via video monitoring to ensure their safety by observing and reporting behaviors that are being demonstrated that may compromise either the safety of the patient or the staff.
  • Document activities & services in a complete, accurate & timely manner according to regulations.
  • Report any unsafe working conditions.
  • Ask for assistance when needed to assure safety for all involved.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and practices safe working habits.
  • Completes required safety programs.
  • Appropriately and consistently uses the personal protective equipment required of the job.
  • Knows and can demonstrate departmental emergency procedures for fire, disaster and other emergency situations.
  • Reports and removes unsafe equipment/furniture.
  • Asks for assistance when needed to assure safety for all involved.
  • Maintains a safe working environment and practices safe working habits.
