About The Position

Rho is seeking a Video Intern to produce, edit, and publish video content across various platforms including podcasts, YouTube, and social media. The intern will collaborate closely with the VP of Marketing, Growth Marketing Lead, and the brand team, participating in all production stages from filming to publishing. This role emphasizes high-volume content creation and a fast-paced production cycle, requiring a keen eye for content performance and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated video editing ability, evidenced by a portfolio, personal account, or reel showcasing short-form social video editing skills (student projects are acceptable if strong).
  • Proficiency in a professional editing tool such as Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, or DaVinci.
  • Understanding of how content performs on X, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, including what captures audience attention.
  • Comfort with basic camera and audio equipment, or a strong willingness to learn quickly.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to identify errors before content is published.
  • Responsive communicator who is receptive to feedback and thrives in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form video from podcast recordings, event footage, and shoots, including cuts, captions, hooks, thumbnails, and platform-optimized packaging.
  • Assist on shoots by setting up equipment, operating cameras, capturing b-roll, and managing lighting for both in-office and on-location filming.
  • Publish content to X, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram according to a consistent schedule and publishing calendar.
  • Turn around video edits quickly, with same-day and next-day cuts being standard, especially for events and launches.
  • Send all videos for review before publication and maintain proactive communication regarding status, blockers, and timelines.
  • Track basic performance metrics such as impressions, watch time, and engagement, and identify successful content strategies.
  • Stay updated on platform trends, formats, and hooks, and contribute creative ideas.
