About The Position

The Wofford Athletics Marketing department is hiring for a Marketing and Video Intern. This role involves assisting in the setup and execution of live game broadcasts for ESPN+ across multiple athletic events, supporting control room operations, and contributing to pre-production planning. The intern will operate and maintain broadcast equipment, capture and edit content for various platforms, and ensure broadcasts meet all required standards. This is a dynamic role within a college athletics setting.

Requirements

  • Experience with live game broadcasts for ESPN+
  • Knowledge of control room operations (replay, graphics, audio, camera operation, directing)
  • Ability to operate and maintain broadcast equipment (cameras, switchers, replay systems, graphics machines, audio gear)
  • Skills in clipping highlights and editing content for recaps and digital platforms
  • Experience capturing and creating supplemental creative content for social media and digital platforms
  • Ability to collaborate with on-air talent and production staff
  • Understanding of conference, NCAA, and ESPN+ standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues during live productions

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the setup and execution of live game broadcasts for ESPN+ across multiple athletic events.
  • Support control room operations, including replay, graphics, audio, camera operation, and directing.
  • Work directly with the broadcast team to ensure smooth, high-quality live productions.
  • Assist in pre-production planning, including equipment setup, testing workflows, and preparing broadcast elements.
  • Operate and maintain broadcast equipment (cameras, switchers, replay systems, graphics machines, and audio gear).
  • Contribute to post-production efforts by clipping highlights and editing content for recaps and digital platforms.
  • Capture and create supplemental creative content around live events for use on social media and digital platforms, including behind-the-scenes moments and real-time highlights.
  • Collaborate with on-air talent and production staff to enhance storytelling and overall broadcast quality.
  • Ensure all broadcasts meet conference, NCAA, and ESPN+ standards and expectations.
  • Assist with troubleshooting technical issues during live productions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Assistant AD of Marketing and Video.
