About The Position

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is seeking a Video Editor to join their video team. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller with excellent color grading and sound mixing skills, capable of integrating motion graphics and collaborating with animation/motion partners. This role requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to proactively gather feedback and manage multiple projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of work experience.
• High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or comparable tool.
• Strong storytelling abilities with a fluency in design and animation.
• Excellent sense of pacing, color, sound, and brand consistency.
• Ability to manage digital files across multiple projects and timelines.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to respond well to feedback.
• Ability to uphold responsiveness and collaboration in a remote environment.
• Organized self-starter with excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working on live-action sets, including DIT work and footage backups.
• Familiarity with high-tech/B2B content strategies.
• Experience in remote collaboration.
• Ability to learn new editing tools and modes of production.

Responsibilities

• Craft compelling visual narratives, ensuring alignment with the brand, the video's message and goals.
• Work on a variety of project types including sizzle videos, scripted and unscripted series, livestream direction, product explainers, technical walkthroughs, webinar and event recaps, social media cutdowns, and thought leadership content.
• Ensure videos look and sound phenomenal through color grading and sound mixing.
• Integrate motion graphics into video projects, working closely with internal partners and external vendors.
• Collaborate with video editors, producers, and designers.
• Proactively gather and implement feedback from team members and collaborators.
• Manage multiple projects, including editing contractors, and ensure timely project completion.
• Organize and manage assets, project files, and archives efficiently.
• Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks to ensure a high standard of visual and technical execution and adherence to the Elastic brand.
