About The Position

Sweetwater, the nation's #1 online retailer of pro audio gear and musical equipment, is seeking an experienced, self-starter to join our team of Video Editors. The ideal candidate should have experience editing video in a nonlinear editing program (such as DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere), and proficiency in basic audio mixing & postproduction. Major bonus points for musicians with a love of music and audio gear. All applicants are expected to submit a demo reel and/or samples of their work.

Requirements

• Proficiency in nonlinear editing (We use Davinci Resolve)
• Reel and samples of existing work (links to YouTube or Vimeo are welcome)
• Relevant degree or equivalent of 1-2 years of real world experience (film school, freelance film and video work, ad agencies)
• Passion for visual storytelling and marketing
• Ability to handle multiple editing assignments and manage deadlines
• Ability to process creative direction and turn around edits, post-production and revisions in a timely manner
• Eagerness and ability to work as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Animation/motion graph experience (After Effects or Fusion) preferred
• Ability to fill in on shoots as a videographer very occasionally, during special events preferred
• Love of music and knowledge of gear would be great

Responsibilities

• Edit videos captured by our team; including product demos, interviews, special events, ads, social videos, and other projects as assigned
• Collaborate with partners to ensure project deadlines are met
• Complete all other tasks as assigned by manager
