Video Editing & Post-Production Intern
About The Position
Megastar Advisors is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editing & Post-Production Intern to support our video production team. This internship is ideal for a college student or recent graduate studying video production, film, digital media, communications, or a related field who wants hands-on experience working with professional video content. Working closely with our Head of Video Production, the intern will primarily assist with post-production for marketing, educational, and company video projects. The Head of Video Production currently produces content across those areas, including professional financial advisor and course content.
Requirements
- Current college student or recent graduate in Video Production, Film, Digital Media, Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- Some hands-on video editing experience through coursework, personal projects, freelance work, internships, or employment
- Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, or other Adobe Creative Suite programs is required
- Understanding of basic editing principles, pacing, audio, composition, and storytelling
- Strong attention to detail
- Organized and comfortable managing multiple files and projects
- Able to receive feedback and make revisions
- Interested in learning professional post-production workflows
- Reliable, proactive, and willing to take ownership of assigned projects
- Portfolio, demo reel, or examples of editing work required
Responsibilities
- Assist with editing raw video footage into polished content
- Review, organize, label, and manage footage and project files
- Select usable takes and assemble rough cuts
- Edit and clean up audio
- Assist with basic color correction and visual adjustments
- Add titles, graphics, captions, transitions, music, and branded elements
- Create short-form clips and social media content from longer videos
- Resize and reformat videos for different platforms and distribution channels
- Make revisions based on feedback from the Head of Video Production and Creative team
- Assist with quality-control reviews before videos are finalized
- Export finished content using appropriate formats and specifications
- Maintain organized project files and digital video assets
- Occasionally assist with studio setup, recording sessions, equipment, and other production needs
