About The Position

This is a remote position that requires you to work closely and collaboratively with a team. Townsquare Ignite, founded in 2010, offers products and solutions that combine owned and operated digital properties, a proprietary digital programmatic advertising platform, and an in-house demand and data management platform. This division is the fastest-growing revenue and profit driver of Townsquare Media. Their competitive advantages include first-party data collection, proprietary advertising technology, impactful integration with over 10 leading DSPs, massive reach, targeted solutions, multi-platform delivery, and a full-service design and creative team. The Video Editing Manager will lead the growing video production team, overseeing the development of high-performing video advertising campaigns across various digital platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing video editors, optimizing production workflows, maintaining creative quality standards, and partnering with Creative Directors and leadership to scale output while delivering exceptional results for clients. The ideal candidate is both a strategic people leader and an expert video editor who can coach talent, drive efficiency, and ensure every project aligns with creative objectives, platform best practices, and performance goals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of professional video editing experience in an agency, media, or in-house creative environment
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
  • Deep understanding of video editing, motion graphics, storytelling, and digital advertising best practices
  • Experience producing content for social media, streaming TV, connected TV (CTV), programmatic video, and other digital platforms
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and workflow management abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience using data and performance insights to guide creative decision-making
  • Ability to solve problems proactively and lead teams through changing priorities
  • Portfolio or demo reel required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 2+ years of team leadership, supervisory, or project management experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily video production operations while actively contributing to creative execution and team development.
  • Serve as both a leader and subject matter expert, ensuring the team delivers compelling, conversion-focused creative at scale.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Video Editors, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular coaching, training, and performance management conversations to support employee growth.
  • Establish and reinforce best practices for video editing, motion graphics, workflow management, and digital advertising creative.
  • Provide clear creative direction and constructive feedback to elevate team performance and output quality.
  • Partner with department leadership on hiring, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.
  • Partner with Creative Directors to determine editing solutions for specific projects, providing insight on the best options for the client and project.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for production, workflow, and quality-related challenges.
  • Research, onboard, and recommend freelance partners for various projects when warranted.
  • Oversee daily video production queues and ensure projects are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Manage team workload, resource allocation, and production capacity across multiple simultaneous campaigns.
  • Develop and improve workflows that increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Monitor project timelines and proactively address bottlenecks or delivery risks.
  • Ensure revisions and client feedback are implemented accurately and efficiently.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Creative Directors, Digital Campaign Managers, and Designers to align production priorities.
  • Maintain high creative standards across all video deliverables.
  • Review and approve video assets for accuracy, brand alignment, technical compliance, and platform best practices.
  • Translate creative briefs and campaign objectives into actionable guidance for the production team.
  • Stay informed on emerging trends in video advertising, social media, motion design, AI-assisted production tools, and creative performance optimization.
  • Analyze creative performance data and identify opportunities to improve campaign effectiveness and operational processes.
  • Edit high-impact video campaigns as needed to support deadlines and production demands.
  • Create compelling video advertisements using stock footage, stock imagery, motion graphics, and client-provided assets.
  • Collaborate directly with Creative Directors on complex, high-profile, or strategic projects.
  • Assist in developing templates, motion systems, and production standards that improve consistency across output.
