About The Position

The Video Design and Support Specialist performs work with both the Communications and Development department and the Technology and Media Services departments. This role handles various tasks within the Communications and Development department, including photography, videography, video editing/production, and assisting with development, design, and execution of district communications and marketing campaigns. This role also helps support the use of audio visual (AV) technologies used by the Genesee Intermediate Schools District (GISD).

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, related education/training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Work or college internship experience in marketing or communications preferred; experience supporting AV technology and video streaming is also preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere, After Effects, and other communications, marketing, and video production tools.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the creation and editing of multimedia projects, including photography, videography, video production, closed captioning, and digital asset management.
  • Assists with marketing and communication initiatives across social media, websites, advertising, and other channels, including analyzing data to support future strategies.
  • Supports AV technology, video streaming, website and document accessibility, and other technology needs across district departments.
  • Demonstrates creativity, adaptability, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to continuously learn and apply new technology and skills.
