We are seeking a Video Control Room Intern (24 hrs/week) to join our video department this fall. The ideal candidate has a strong passion for news, pop culture and sports and can contribute to creating engaging, savvy, and informative digital-native video content. This is a hands-on opportunity to work in both studio and control room environments, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of video production.

Requirements

  • Current juniors and seniors pursuing a BA, MA students, and recent graduates who completed their degree within the past year
  • Interest in working in online news environment
  • Knowledge of control room and studio operations, with a focus on technical direction and audio
  • Ideally simple editing skills
  • Must enjoy working collaboratively and accurately; attention to detail a must

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects of studio operations, including set creation, setup, and breakdown.
  • Assist with teleprompter operation during studio recordings.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth execution of video shoots.
  • Assist with both field and office production tasks as needed.
