About The Position

As a Video Editor, you will play a key role in capturing the ongoing value of ReedPop’s live events by transforming event footage into compelling digital content. You will manage video assets, edit long-form and short-form content, and help deliver engaging experiences across Popverse, YouTube, event websites, and other digital channels while collaborating with product, marketing, and production teams.

Requirements

  • Professional experience in video editing, digital media production, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency with professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Experience editing both long-form and short-form digital video.
  • Understanding of YouTube, social video, and digital publishing best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing large volumes of video files and digital assets.
  • Strong storytelling instincts and an understanding of how editing, pacing, graphics, and sound can turn raw footage into engaging content.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with product, marketing, and production teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to ReedPop events as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with entertainment, gaming, comics, fandom, or live-event content is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage event footage by collecting, organizing, and uploading video footage from ReedPop events, ensuring media assets are properly archived, labeled, and easily accessible for ongoing production.
  • Produce high-quality edits of panels, interviews, and other programming captured at ReedPop events for distribution across Popverse and ReedPop digital platforms.
  • Transform long-form event footage into engaging short-form clips optimized for social media, ReedPop event websites, Popverse, and other digital channels.
  • Upload, publish, and maintain video-on-demand content on Popverse, including both free and members-only programming, ensuring content is presented accurately and on schedule.
  • Own day-to-day video publishing and channel management for the Popverse YouTube channel, including uploads, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, playlists, and other optimization activities.
  • Create and edit promotional videos supporting Popverse memberships, livestreams, fan products, exhibitor digital offerings, and other fan-facing and B2B digital initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to repurpose existing footage into new content, compilations, clips, and evergreen programming that extends the value of ReedPop's live event content throughout the year.
