The Boise Police Department is seeking a Victim Witness Unit Supervisor to lead a dedicated team supporting victims and witnesses through some of the most difficult moments in their lives. This role provides leadership and oversight for the department’s victim-witness services while remaining closely connected to the work - supporting complex cases, guiding crisis response, and ensuring victims understand their rights and have access to the resources they need. The Supervisor leads and develops Victim Witness Coordinators, oversees case assignments and program operations, and works closely with law enforcement, prosecutors, community partners, and other service providers. The ideal candidate brings strong supervisory skills, sound judgment in high-stress situations, and experience working with victims of crime or trauma. This is a 40-hour-per-week position with flexibility to work either four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days. The Supervisor also participates in a rotating on-call schedule to support the unit’s response to critical incidents and urgent victim needs outside of regular business hours. To ensure internal equity and alignment with the approved budget for this position, offers are made within the posted hiring range. Although the hiring range is fixed, employees receive an exceptional benefits and total rewards package that enhances the overall value of employment with the City of Boise.
