About The Position

Protects the rights of victims and witnesses by performing a variety of professional and technical duties to organize, coordinate and deliver crisis intervention and multi-disciplinary support to victims, families, and professionals involved with criminal cases while treating victims and witnesses with dignity, respect, courtesy, and sensitivity.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in behavioral, social science, or related disciplines appropriate to the position, such as criminal justice, psychology or sociology.
  • A combination of education and experience that provides the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences related to the victim/ witness coordinator field.
  • Must possess a valid Utah Driver's License.
  • Applicants must sign consent for and submit to a criminal background.
  • The ability to type 65 wpm
  • Must possess or obtain during the first 12 months of employment: 40 Hour Utah Core Advocacy Training 40 Hour Utah Sexual Assault Counselor Training Utah Victim's Assistance Academy
  • Other specialized victim services training and experience as determined by the County Attorney or Investigations Bureau Chief
