About The Position

The Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Student Success will provide leadership in academic affairs, focusing on enhancing undergraduate education and ensuring student success. This role involves leading initiatives to improve student retention, persistence, graduation rates, and overall educational outcomes. The position requires a strong understanding of curriculum development, academic policy, accreditation, assessment, and shared governance, with a commitment to student-centered leadership, inclusive excellence, and collaboration.

Requirements

• Terminal degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., or equivalent) in an academic discipline.
• Experience as a tenured faculty member, preferably at the rank of Professor.
• Minimum 3 years leadership experience in academic affairs, undergraduate education, student success, advising, or a related area.
• Demonstrated success leading initiatives that improve student retention, persistence, graduation, and educational outcomes.
• Experience with curriculum development, academic policy, accreditation, assessment, and shared governance.
• Demonstrated commitment to student-centered leadership, inclusive excellence, and organizational collaboration.
• Strong analytical, communication, strategic planning, and consensus-building skills.

• Experience leading institution-wide student success initiatives.
• Experience overseeing advising, academic support, or undergraduate academic affairs.
• Familiarity with predictive analytics, student success technologies, and data-informed decision-making.
• Experience promoting interdisciplinary education, experiential learning, undergraduate research, and community-engaged learning.
• Demonstrated commitment to innovation in teaching and learning.
