About The Position

This role involves collaborating with client stakeholders to understand business objectives and customize Aladdin solutions to meet unique requirements. The Vice President will support clients throughout the onboarding and adoption process, drive client engagement, review scopes of work, collect requirements, and manage project planning for the data, risk, and analytics workstream of new risk reporting capabilities. Key responsibilities include managing progress, communicating with clients and partners, ensuring successful delivery of milestones, and collaborating with internal BlackRock teams to align on data scope, mapping, normalization, and implementation. The role also involves educating external users on Aladdin data conventions and workflows, including on-site training. A significant aspect is enhancing Aladdin for private credit investments by participating in product development. The Vice President will configure investment portfolio structures, benchmark assignments, and risk analytics deliverables, manage data reconciliation and issue resolution, and partner with Analytics Stewards to ensure the quality of valuation and risk analytics. Creating client documentation and supporting division-wide transformation initiatives are also part of the role.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as an Associate or a related role.
Five (5) years of experience with SQL for data querying and transformation.
Five (5) years of experience with Python for automation and analytics.
Five (5) years of experience with Unix and Linux command line proficiency for system operations.
Five (5) years of experience with ETL tools to transform and standardize large sets of data including Unix, Perl, Moba Xterm, SFTP and Snowflake.
Five (5) years of experience delivering risk analytics to external clients.
Knowledge of securities and financial products including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and private markets.
Knowledge of investment data models and benchmarks including fixed income modeling, derivatives modeling, fund modeling, and custom benchmarks.
Expertise throughout product life cycles from design to deployment.
Experience managing large multi-channel and technical implementation projects.
Experience advising and consulting clients on solutioning for data reporting requests.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business objectives and customize Aladdin solutions.
Drive client engagement, scope of work review, requirements collection, and project planning for the data, risk, and analytics workstream.
Manage data workstream progress and communications with internal and external clients and partners.
Collaborate with other BlackRock investment, technology, and data professionals to ensure alignment on data scope, mapping, normalization, and implementation.
Educate and guide external users on Aladdin data conventions and target state data management workflows, including on-site training.
Enhance Aladdin to support investment professionals investing in private credit investments.
Work with front-office and investment professionals to configure investment portfolio structure, benchmark assignments, and establish proper risk analytics deliverables.
Manage systematic data reconciliation and reviews; drive resolution of issues with external and internal data owners, external vendors, and develop solutions.
Partner with Analytics Stewards to ensure valuation and risk analytics results are comprehensive and up to market and modeling standard.
Create dedicated client documentation with standard templates.
Support division-wide transformation initiatives to streamline and automate work.
