About The Position

Hill International is seeking a Vice President in Seattle, Washington. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of a program, with overall responsibility for managing the established scope and budget for projects. The Vice President will ensure assigned project managers are guided and mentored throughout the project, and will facilitate strong communication and coordination between clients, project staff, consultants, and contractors. This position requires regular communication of project status, milestones, and issues with leadership, and ensures project compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes, and standards. The Vice President will also be the first-level lead for all consultant and sub-consultant teams and is responsible for the development of staffing plans related to the contract.

Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Construction Management, Project Management, or Architecture preferred
  • 15+ years of experience as a Program Manager
  • Organizing heavy and complex workloads, establish and adjust priorities, and accomplish objectives within established scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with executive managers, city staff representation, and transit constituencies
  • Using computers and related software applications; intermediate to advanced computer skills (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint) are required
  • Must possess technical and procedural writing skills as well as excellent verbal and presentation skills

Responsibilities

  • Leading, coordinating all aspects of program
  • Managing established scope and budget for projects
  • Ensuring assigned project managers are guided and mentored throughout the project
  • Ensuring communication between members of a multi-disciplinary project management teams both client and project staff
  • Overseeing consultants and contractors involved in capital projects and facilitating strong communication and coordination between these entities
  • Communicating and coordinating project status with staff from affected federal, state, regional and local agencies
  • Regularly communicating project status, milestones and issues with leadership
  • Developing and overseeing regular preparation of project status reports, including monthly reports for leadership
  • Ensuring project compliance with all federal, state and local laws, regulations, codes and standards
  • First level lead for all consultant and sub-consultant team
  • Responsible for development of staffing plans related to contract
