About The Position

The VP, TDS Operations leads a group of operational functions and activities via Team Leaders/Operations Officers/ Analysts/Specialists within a unit and provide guidance, leadership, coaching and development to ensure operational results and professional/personal development objectives are achieved for the overall group. This role is responsible for representing the Trade Support mandate to internal and external stakeholders during New York business hours. In all instances it is expected that the individual will develop, promote and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders. The role involves analysing, identifying and implementing various process improvements and automation, and performing data analysis within excel, which can then be presented to numerous teams including sales and trading. The daily execution of activities includes supporting the IFI trading and sales desks with trade capture of multiple products in multiple systems, ensuring all trades are captured accurately and in a timely manner, assisting in the resolution of STP feed outages, monitoring risk across the business to ensure adherence to policy limits, resolution of ad-hoc queries relating to risk and P&L discrepancies, and investigation of ad-hoc trade queries by liaising with internal and external individuals. The individual will actively manage various initiatives and ad hoc requests, evaluate changes in regulatory requirements and the business model to proactively make changes, and work in partnership with other teams to ensure audit or regulatory findings are managed and cleared. The role requires ensuring both Functional and Regional Management are kept current and apprised of all relevant issues relating to Trade Support activities with proper escalation of issues in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Fixed Income (FO, MO, Ops)
  • Series 7 and Series 63 required
  • B.A degree in Economics or Finance
  • Strong understanding of fixed income products and/or trade lifecycle management.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex operational issues.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with Sales & Trading desks and stakeholders across the organization.
  • 6+ years relevant experience and 4+ years of people management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of key functional areas including Capital Markets, Financing Operations, Payment and Correspondent Banking Services, Business Services, Change Delivery, and Regional Operations.
  • Knowledge of capital markets products, which may include Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging trends in the industry and market.
  • Knowledge of risk management environment, standards and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of process management to drive efficiency.
  • Ability to contribute to strategic direction of the function and provide advice to senior leadership.
