The Vice President, Supply Chain is a senior executive responsible for the strategic leadership, transformation, and operational excellence of the entire procurement and supply chain function at Dashiell. This role carries direct accountability for managing over $2 billion in annual spend encompassing electrical equipment, materials, subcontractors, and strategic vendor relationships, and serves as executive sponsor for the company’s ERP procurement implementation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum 20 years of progressive supply chain, procurement, or materials management experience, with at least 8 years in a senior executive or VP-level leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience within the EPC, utility construction, power delivery, or heavy industrial sectors; high voltage substation or transmission experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record managing $500M or greater in annual spend with direct experience scaling procurement organizations to $1B+ spend environments.
  • Hands-on experience leading or sponsoring an ERP implementation (Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) with direct accountability for procurement modules.
  • Deep knowledge of high voltage electrical equipment supply markets including transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, protection systems, and substation structures.
  • Familiarity with NERC CIP, FERC, IEEE, NEMA, IEC, and ANSI standards as applied to equipment procurement and supplier qualification; working knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Exceptional executive presence with ability to influence at C-suite level and present to board-level stakeholders; strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in spend analytics platforms, contract management systems, and e-sourcing tools.
  • Valid driver’s license required; travel to project sites, supplier facilities, and regional offices estimated at 25–40%.

Responsibilities

  • Build and scale a high-performing procurement organization managing $2B+ in annual spend across complex, multi-site EPC portfolios; define and execute a multi-year supply chain strategy aligned with company growth objectives and the high voltage utility market.
  • Establish a best-in-class procurement operating model including governance frameworks, organizational structure, staffing levels, and competency development programs.
  • Champion a culture of accountability and continuous improvement; serve as a trusted senior leadership team advisor providing supply chain insights that inform bid strategy, project execution, and enterprise risk management.
  • Lead all enterprise procurement activities including strategic sourcing, category management, contract negotiation, and full supplier life cycle management.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for critical long-lead items including power transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, bus work, protection and control equipment, and structural steel.
  • Establish a preferred supplier program with tiered vendor qualification, performance scorecards, and strategic partnership agreements; negotiate MSAs, blanket purchase orders, and frame contracts optimizing total cost of ownership, delivery assurance, and warranty terms.
  • Oversee subcontractor procurement in coordination with project management, legal, and finance; build and maintain supplier diversity and risk mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Serve as executive procurement sponsor for the enterprise-wide ERP implementation; direct system design, data governance, and process integration for all procurement modules (purchasing, inventory, supplier management, contract management).
  • Drive change management for successful user adoption and process compliance; leverage ERP and analytics platforms for real-time spend visibility, demand forecasting, and performance reporting.
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive KPI framework covering cost savings, cost avoidance, on-time delivery, procurement cycle time, supplier quality, and compliance; deliver measurable year-over-year cost reduction targets formalized within the first 90 days.
  • Drive on-time, on-budget material delivery across all active projects coordinating closely with project management teams; provide monthly and quarterly executive reporting on supply chain performance, risk exposure, and savings pipeline.
  • Establish and enforce supplier quality requirements including FAT, material traceability, and third-party inspection protocols aligned with IEEE, NEMA, IEC, and ANSI standards; maintain supply chain risk frameworks and import/export compliance procedures.
  • Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested.
