The Vice President, Supply Chain & Manufacturing Policy reports to the Chief Policy Officer and leads ACP’s strategy and policy development related to supply chain resiliency, domestic manufacturing, trade, critical minerals, cybersecurity, and other issues critical to the deployment and growth of clean energy technologies. Key goals include working with industry to ensure socially and environmentally responsible supply chains, building a durable and reliable supply chain for critical components and minerals, and advancing policies that support the expansion of domestic clean energy manufacturing capacity. Working closely with ACP members, industry stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, the Vice President establishes long-term strategic priorities, develops industry-supported policy positions, and helps shape ACP’s approach to emerging supply chain and manufacturing challenges. The role partners closely with Advocacy, Markets & Research, Communications, Events, and other teams to ensure ACP’s priorities are informed by robust research, aligned across the organization, and effectively advanced through the association’s broader policy and advocacy efforts. The Vice President leads a team of policy professionals and external partners, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, strategic thinking, and continuous development while ensuring effective execution of ACP’s supply chain and manufacturing objectives. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, leadership, and organizational skills are essential. The renewable energy industry is a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment requiring the ability to balance long-term strategy with execution, navigate complex issues, and build alignment across diverse stakeholders.
