About The Position

Reporting to the SVP, Finance & Operations, the Vice President, Strategic Finance will own financial planning, forecasting, and business partnering across Lila. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance, strategy, and operations: someone who can build rigorous models one day and present a board-ready strategic narrative the next. You will lead the strategic finance function, partner closely with department leaders to drive sound resource allocation, and shape Lila's most important capital and operating decisions as we scale.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting
  • 3+ years in a high-growth, R&D-intensive company
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills and a track record of models that drove real business decisions
  • Direct experience supporting fundraising rounds, board reporting, or M&A transactions
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial complexity for non-finance leaders
  • Excellent communication and executive presence; comfortable with CEO, board, and investors
  • Player-coach mindset: builds from scratch, executes hands-on, and scales a team over time

Nice To Haves

  • MBA, CFA, or CPA
  • Experience scaling finance at a Series B to Series D company
  • Experience scaling finance at a public company
  • Familiarity with deep-tech, hardware, or scientific R&D cost structures
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field

Responsibilities

  • Own the annual operating plan, long-range plan, and rolling forecast across the company
  • Build and maintain the integrated three-statement financial model and scenario planning
  • Partner with the ELT to translate plans into financial implications and trade-offs
  • Prepare materials for the Board, investors, and audit committee, including quarterly decks
  • Own headcount planning and compensation modeling in partnership with People Ops
  • Build and lead a high-performing strategic finance team, setting cadence and rigor to scale
