The VP Specialty Outpatient Business Development will manage business development activities for CPS Specialty Pharmacy Services for an assigned area / region of the U.S. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 8+ years of recent high-level healthcare sales experience; specialty pharmacy sales preferred
  • Adept at using computer technology tools, MS Office suite to communicate and develop presentations
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and client-level personnel
  • Residence near major airport
  • Ability to travel by air up to 50% of the time away from home location
  • Ability to travel away from home location by air or car
  • Ability to meet company standards for a Motor Vehicle Report
  • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy

Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business with hospitals / health systems with C-suite leaders
  • Develop new, strategic relationships with Pharmacy and C-suite leaders
  • Collaborate with key operations peers on prospect assessments
  • Build and present value added proposals and presentations to Pharmacy leaders and C-suite level
  • Drive new contract growth for the assigned areas of responsibility
