Linx Underwriting Solutions is an underwriting agency and a wholly owned subsidiary of Aon Canada, specializing in industry- and product-specific solutions tailored to the Canadian market. Linx is looking to hire a Senior Underwriter, Casualty, who will underwrite a portfolio of commercial casualty, umbrella, and select specialty lines, delivering innovative and effective solutions to brokers and clients. Canddiates can be located in Calgary, Toronto or Halifax. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. What the day will look like Deliver profitable performance of the Casualty portfolio Underwrite and analyze new and renewal business within delegated authority Select risks, negotiate coverage and pricing, and close deals Proactively identify and pursue renewal and new business opportunities Apply underwriting guidelines, pricing models, and risk appetite to ensure consistent, profitable underwriting Represent Linx with brokers and clients; build and maintain strong market relationships Monitor and respond to emerging risks (e.g., cyber, climate-related, social inflation) and support product innovation Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and audit standards Develop customer-focused renewal strategies aligned with company financial goals Collaborate with team members and contribute to an inclusive, high‑performance work environment Perform other related duties as required How this opportunity is different We write a diverse book of business covering a wide range of clients including, but not limited to: real estate, retail, manufacturing, wholesale, forestry, public entities, and Indigenous services.
